Taking place virtually on the 13th of October, the upcoming Women in Governance, Risk and Compliance Series is on a mission – to shine a light on women who work in the GRC industry.
The GRC function touches everyone within an organisation, and plays a pivotal role in its success. Unfortunately, women represent only 15-20% in this domain including in audit, privacy, and security functions. This falls short of female representation across the global workforce, which in 2020 sat at 45%. The Women in Governance, Risk, and Compliance Series will look at ways of changing these statistics.
The inaugural series aims to bring together the great and good of GRC to champion, celebrate and support the amazing women across the globe who are changing the way that we live and work. The series consists of a forum during the day which has lots of informative presentations and panel discussions, followed by an awards evening with awards designed to celebrate the best in the industry.
As Premium Partner, we are delighted to pledge our support to this initiative and look forward to celebrating the inspiring women of GRC. Camms will sponsor the “GRC Team of the Year Award” recognising a team led by a female where every member of the team plays a fundamental role in delivering success.
We are also proud to have our very own inspiring women at Camms taking part in the Forum.
Holly Butterworth, our Head of Delivery will take her place among an incredible panel session of female leaders within GRC as they discuss “What makes women great leaders within Governance, Risk, and Compliance.” This session will look at how their careers developed and the skills that they feel are important in GRC and other risk management roles.
While Caroline Price, Senior Project Manager & Implementation Consultant here at Camms will offer guidance on managing work-life balance, as an employee and employer.
Also, our VP of Marketing, Suzanne Degun will join the 2021 judging panel, alongside some of the world’s foremost business leaders, advocates and supporters.
More than just a forum and awards programme, Women in GRC is committed to building a year-round community for women from all spheres of GRC, to learn, collaborate and grow with their peers via several initiatives throughout 2021 and beyond.
Suzanne Degun, VP of Marketing, had this to say about the event: “Camms offers a wealth of experience across the GRC sphere and is perfectly placed to help shine a light on the remarkable women who are leading the charge and changing the face of risk management. We look forward to celebrating the female leaders who are challenging the status quo. Good luck to the finalists!”
